Our Dinning Room

This is the dinning room in our home in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. I think the best part of this room are the french doors with their gorgeous glass door knobs and frosted windowpanes.

We're also quite happy with our art wall. All the artwork in the frames are by me (except for one) and some can be found at my shop. Patrick and I painted and sanded each frame so they would have that distressed look. You can also catch a glimpse of the painting in the black frame by Canadian artist Robert-Ralph Carmichael that we bought in celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary this past May.

Those who know us well have heard the exciting story of when we installed the chandelier. In short, my husband ended up literally hanging from the light fixture after our dinning room table collapsed under us. There was a little blood but we recovered soon enough. We should have used a ladder but at the very least we can now laugh about it.

We're very happy with the chandelier we bought from Home Depot. It has pretty french crystals and was very reasonably priced; the matching smaller version is in our upstairs master bedroom, which I plan on posting photos of in the future.

It looks great Rene(and Pat)! Love the dark brown with the tourquoise table. The art wall is very pretty too!
